Overview
Lincoln Lake is located in Cuivre River State Park. It is a fifty-five acre lake and is stocked on a regular basis with largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. The Missouri Wildlife information stand in the parking lot is asking anglers to harvest any and all largemouth bass caught. There are currently no size limits for bass and catfish.
The lake has a 4 mile trail around its perimeter and can be easily fished along most of the bank. If you do plan on bringing your boat, they only allow electric motors. Swimming is allowed at the north end of the lake ( far left from the boat ramp) but there are plenty of fish-able areas to keep you entertained.
Personal Experience
I have fished this lake for largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie and tend to use live baits; minnows, nightcrawlers, and crickets. Minnows will always bring in a few bass, but I’ve had my best luck with crickets on a slip bobber rig. When it is all said and done, Lincoln Lake is very pretty and fairly easy to get to. Keep your expectations for daily limits low and you should have a great time.
